State of emergency continues in Schenectady County

SCHENECTADY COUNTY -- A state of emergency continues in Schenectady County due to the severe damage caused by the recent heavy rains and flash flooding.


Most of the damage was in the western sections of the county. More than 100 homes lost access to county roadways.


The county anticipates the majority of residents will have temporary access to roadways by Friday. Highway repairs will continue for the next few weeks.


Residents who would like to report damage along county highways should call (518) 356-5344. To report damage along state roads, call (518) 393-0863.
