Paterson recalls stunned disbelief on Spitzer scandal

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- "Stunned disbelief." That's what Governor David Paterson recalled when he learned of the prostitution scandal that would lead to his ascension from lieutenant governor to his current position.


Paterson made the comment in Buffalo, speaking before a gathering of lieutenant governors from around the country. Paterson, who became governor after the March 12th resignation of disgraced Eliot Spitzer, didn't mention Spitzer by name during his address, but did remember
